You should! No time like the present, as they say.
I know it's going to take up a lot of my time and change my life for some years, but my reasoning is that I could either be a 28-year-old with a degree, or a 28-year-old looking back and wishing I'd gone back to school when I was 24. So, I picked the first one and I hope it works out. :)
It seems easier than I thought so far! I signed up, got my books, went to my first class, did my first homework assignment. One foot in front of the other, like. :)
And all the time I've felt like, wait - shouldn't I be getting somebody's signature on a permission slip? Shouldn't somebody be trying to stop me? How is this all there is to do? Where's the catch?
I'm excited to be going back! I was just a kid when I first went to college - kept skipping class to go to concerts or sleep or hang out with my boyfriend. My heart wasn't in it and I withdrew from everything. Lame.
Now I feel like I have my priorities in line and my life basically in order, so I can go back and bulk up my pitiful transcript with goodness and transfer credits. :)
