Just a plain old English class - the focus was argumentation I think? I'm getting my prerequisites out of the way at Foothill. :)
Anyhow, we had to read McTeague, The Jungle, Germinal, and some Hemingway. It's a testament to how unbearable the others were that the Hemingway stories felt like a respite!

I had to read it for class and just, eugh. Every book in the syllabus should have been called Nothing Good Happens At All For 400 Pages, seriously.
