Everyone has heard the phrase “vengeance is dish best serve cold”. In Hamlet, vengeance is the source of tragedy. Hamlet is a prince whose father dies and his father’s ghost comes to visit him. The ghost says that he has been murdered by means of poison by the betraying brother. Hamlet was quite upset naturally and concocted a brilliant plan. ( Read more... )

I agree! Vengeance and revenge are never the right answers to solve or gain anything. If one is blinded by hate and revenge, then one will fall into total darkness of loneliness and pain. Therefore,it is important to forgive each other.

I don't know if I totally agree here. Sometimes justice and vengeance are the same. And sometimes suffering is the only proper balance for a crime and therefore a balanced punishment is one in which pain is inflicted to make justice possible. Also, in some cases justice cannot be found by the system in place and therefore vengeance is necessary.
