Got me a new monitor, finally. Got my hands on an HP w2007 to replace my aging HP Pavilion f50. The f50's a fine little monitor, but after five years you just want a change on your desk.
And, I don't think I'll ever need a TV again. The lunchroom TV iswas (I turned the damn thing off) airing some TV show that was a drama/whatever about the

As for TV, there's little enough worth watching that it's hardly justification to buy a set at all. Particularly with monitors scaling up and so many sites legally making some of the best material available for download - National Geographic, Discovery Channel, Bravo, etc. There's a lot that you can get for free, watch on a 20" screen in higher res, and archive for reference later.
Disclosure - we have a TV, though it's not huge, and a PVR so that we can always stream our favourite shows to our laptops or PCs. The TV is a bit of a 'group thing' largely used for the Wii.
