some people have found my vigorous pre-consumption washing and inspection of vegetables a little extreme or obsessive. i just don't want to bite into any insects or other unpleasant surprises. lettuce always contains tiny bugs and worms, which can easily be overlooked and swallowed without a second thought. but, what if you were to bite into THIS:

I'm supposed to know all that before wednesday, my Biology 2 lab exam. :-/... I think you should just keep him till you find a place he'd like.
I also say continue to wash your veggies obsessively, and pooh-pooh to your critics. I brush my teeth constantly.

you're learning snail anatomy in biology 2? that sounds great! i love this stuff. i think you'll be able to memorize the snail with no problem just because of the sheer craziness of his internal design.
