Life. I'm ducking at it a bit
So I forgot I had kids yesterday.
I was in the midst of an intense editing session. Intense because I've been trying to write the same crap over and over again in different ways for too many fucking years. My editor is awesome and I love her.
But it's really time for a vacation.

I've never forgotten my cats.
On the plus side, you didn't strap your kid into the car, drive to day care, not drop off the kid and leave it in the car at the train station in the summer sun while you when off to work, and, whoops, didn't you feel bad about the dead cooked toddler when you rocked up to childcare to find you never dropped it off and it was still in the car.
So it could have been really much, much worse.
[This is a true story that happened, twice, if I recall, last summer, in Australia. so against that metric I think zoning out at work is a pass, of not an expensive pass).
