How Many Angels Can Dance...

I'm sure someone, somewhere is gonna be fuming over how little time the boys spent on screen compared to the angels. I just hope Supernatural fans aren't going on about the use of God and angels in this episode.

I've always wondered how was it for John to be in hell since he was there for about a year which I guess makes it 120 years down there. So I wanted to know did he break. But I should have realized it last week after watching the Space promo that he probably didn't.
Now I'm thinking that Dean was given one year to live after the deal so that it'll slowly sink in what this deal actually means for him before he ever goes to hell. With that fear and doubt in him, it'll be easier to break him once he is dragged into hell. Because if they instantly took him to hell, Dean would have been more hardened.
Maybe this is just wishful thinking but Ruby might have something to do with it. I mean, she told Dean about the fire that will slowly burn his humanity away and that shook him up pretty badly. It was after that he admitted it to himself that he was scared to go to hell and he wanted out. And the look that was on Ruby’s face, the look that Sam didn’t see, just says that there’s something more sinister going on.

Ok there was a gap between me writing whatever earlier and this so I can’t get myself in the right frame of mind to continue that.

But I will say that I already figured that Sam was drinking demon blood (you’d think he’d go for demons stronger that Ruby) but he is now he needs it, it’s been too long. Seems like Sam has become a drug addict…well, a demon blood addict. So it looks like he’s gonna think he needs it which means as much as Sam denies it, Ruby is controlling him.

What I liked was that Sam told Castiel to go in and heal Dean. "Miracle. NOW!" He was angry at the angels for dragging Dean into this whole mess and never bothered to make sure he’s alright. And that Sam wanted to find Dean because he noticed that Dean something in hell has changed him. That Dean couldn't do the job not because his self pity but because something of hell itself. I guess in short it just means that he was Sammy again.

I went to a forum after watching the episode and there was a question asking if Dean would have managed to get the information out of Alastair on his own. It got me thinking about how Dean was torturing Alastair and I think that despite the fact that he’s doing it, he was still holding back because he wanted to leave that part of him in hell. He just didn't know how much of himself did he leave there.

Last week Pamela died and this week it was Uriel’s turn. With them to very good actors were off the show (Guess, Traci can still come back if Pam is back as a ghost). Pity. Speaking of actors, the guy who played Alastair was good acting wise but his accent made it so hard for me to understand some of thing he said and I had my volume as high as I could get it to be. Other fans have brought to my attention that Genevieve has a slight lisp but at least I can hear what she’s saying and her acting is better than before.

Both of the guys did a magnificent job as always. When Sam was waiting at Dean's bedside in the hospital, that frantic look in his eyes were killing me, I can’t help but wonder how Jensen makes his voice sound like it did in that final scene. We are so lucky to have both these guys on our show.
Oh. And Anna’s back. Fans are gonna love that.
