"We were friends. More like brothers..."
That up there pretty much sums up the episode. I know there are some Sam girls going "What about Sam?" but I don't get it at all.
Forget this show, this episode were all about the brothers. And yeah a little individual focus on BOTH Sam and Dean. Did you guys miss the part when Sam said "Something in my blood'? 'Cause I sure didn't!
(Oh, and Sam was in 25 minutes of the 41 minute and 27 seconds episode).
But the only thing I could see after watching the episode 3 times was that the brothers work better together. They are stronger together. ANd even without their memories, in the whole office, they could still find their way back to each other. They still have that bond which is the foundation of their relationship. They were brothers again.
What else I saw is Sam's willingness to embrace the life of a hunter while Dean was hesitant. Which of course going back to season 1, it's ironic. I brought up season 1 because there seemed to be a lot of season one and two (even three) in this episode. I can't explain it, just felt like it.
It was the whole "don't call me Sammy", the brothers working together. The fact that this was a old school simple salt and burn (Yes. I know we had that in ASS but this was less complicated).
Another fan thing (Dean and bi-bro fans this time) is the whole "How can Zachariah expect Dean to forget hell?!" thing. I'm a Dean girl and I am not pissed off at Zach for anything. He didn't say that Dean has to forget hell. He didn't say that working in an office is worse than hell. What he said that Dean was destined to become a hunter. Not only to become hunter, to save lives. He is doing something greater. Sure it sucks out loud. We kinda figured that one out early in the series but it's important. Certainly, making a difference in someone else's life your whole life is better than working a job where he has to work for 8-10 years for a damn promotion!
Yes. He said stop whinig and complaining. We all know the reason Dean has been like that. But let's face it, if he was the only one who could save the world. The world that his loved ones lived in, the one he spent his whole life protecting, he needs to stop.
This wasn't mentioned by Zach (he surely doesn't even care) but if he doesn't, people are going to suffer and he'll worse so much more worse than he does now. And he's gonna regret the very moment he gave up.
Ok. I'm done.
