I'm trying to narrow down my options, and my handbook says 'first priority: don't go to places you won't like to live.' So, let's be real. I don't want to live in Idaho. I don't want to live in Alabama. I am almost certain I can't get into Cornell, but I'm going to apply anyway, because the program looks awesome. I don't want to live in Arizona. I don't want to live in Louisiana. I don't want to live in Georgia. Probably don't want to live in Montana. Not sure about NC. Best case scenario, I'd prefer to stay on my coast (<3 West Coast), but my home state doesn't have many options, my current state has only a couple, and California seems to think that if you aren't prepared to send PIs to track down their funding packages, you aren't motivated enough. Argh.
