oh right, the Austen meme

Over at Tumblr, I've sort of-kind of been keeping up with it, on-again off-again, since I finished school. So!

Day 13: Who is your least favourite hero?

It was enough for her that he appeared to be amiable, that he loved her daughter, and that Elinor returned the partiality.

Not enough for me, sorry. He has some good lines and a vague semblance of a personality, but I require a bit more in my major characters. Especially from you, Austen.
*yawn*

tags from the Tumblr version, since that's where I often stick my commentary:

#that's pretty much his entire personality #well that and the secret engagement while carrying on with elinor #not often that you get boringly virtuous and duplicitous jerk rolled into one character #...i don't actually hate everything about sense and sensibility #really!

Day 14: Which is your favourite confession of love from the books?

I have loved none but you. Unjust I may have been, weak and resentful I have been, but never inconstant. You alone have brought me to Bath. For you alone, I think and plan. Have you not seen this? Can you fail to have understood my wishes? I had not waited even these ten days, could I have read your feelings, as I think you must have penetrated mine. I can hardly write. I am every instant hearing something which overpowers me.

I don't even like Wentworth all that much, but daaaaamn. That is one fine confession of love, sir.

Day 15: Which is your favourite confession of love from the movies?

Emma and Josh, from Clueless. This may be the only one I don’t dislike, actually.

#cher horowitz #josh...does josh have a last name #clueless #i forgot i was doing these #whoops #and seriously every time i looked at this question #i was just #nope #they suck #all of them
