A hen's night to remember...

I had organised the hen's night to be in Darling Harbour, Sydney, at the Port Orient Restaurant, and had booked a hotel for us for the night.

I decided to leave earlier on Saturday to book into the hotel, do errands, like pick up my shoes for the wedding and stuff like that, so me and my brother start driving up to sydney. Just before we get to the city (and as I was bitching to my brother about cars stopping suddenly), the car ahead of me stops suddenly to let another car park, and I ran right up the back of them.

All the boring stuff then happens, swapping insurance details, and waiting for a tow truck to take my car (as we thing I cracked the radiator, so no driving for me). While I didn't do any structual damage (and the car still goes, to a degree), I have proberbly done more damage than the car was worth, and if so I will have to find a new car. Photos in the next few days...

After getting a lift with the tow truck driver to the train station, I finally head into town, book into the hotel, and get dressed for my hens night. After champange (sorry "sparkling wine"), we head off to the restaurant, get drunk and watch a stripper dressed as a policeman. Dinner was great, the entertainment was good (stripper, kareoke, dancing), but by then, Kate has passed out in the bathroom, so we take her back to the hotel, after which, there is some entertaining misunderstandings, leaving manda and Les at Darling harbour, considering whether to jump into the harbour to get that cute police guy doing harbour patrol to rescue them.

by this time it is quite late, so we call it a night (as we have to check out by 10am).

Monday morning comes around, and I am about to head off to see what can be done about my car. I will post an update tonight when I know if I need to empty it of all my belongings.
