UPDATE: SITE IS BACK ONLINE!

In the past I've gotten so generous donations and thanks for that. Right now the site is suspended due to a technical error with the host as well as problems with bandwidth on top of the hosting bill. foxriverinmate has very kindly posted about pbfic.net and the danger of losing it on her LJ, but maybe you could also make a post on your own LJ as the site owner? The more people who know about it, the better.

And this is just me, but if you need people to donate money to save it, I think that the more upfront and clear you can be about how much money is needed to keep the site running each month etc, the better. If you keep people in the loop, it's much easier for them to help! :)

Is it just that money needs to be donated? I'm not friends with foxriverinmate and I can't see the entry, so I don't know what exactly is going on. I'm super new to the fandom, so I don't really know anybody and I've just been lurking around to see if I could find out anything about what happened to the site.

Hello there, nice to meet you.

All foxriverinmate posted was that we were in danger of losing the site permanently if it wasn't brought back to life (and yeah, it's about paying the monthly hosting fee/bandwidth etc), but she was just passing on that message from elizabethb. So hence my nagging (lovingly so, lol!) here for elizabethb to let us know what she needs so we can organise it.

Pbfic.net is so special to me, and I've met so many wonderful people on that site over the years, I'd hate to see it go, so I will donate as much as I can as frequently as I can :) i wasn't able before because I didn't have a credit card but now i do!

How much do you need to get the site back up, sweetheart? I'll chip in as much as I can but if there's no ads to help out I don't think I can afford to keep donating indefinitely.

I got a new donor to donate 30 so I only needed 10 and the sites back up now.

That's a very generous donor. :)

I see the site's back up afain and I will donate some more money once it clears my PayPal account in a few days. Meantime if you ever want to pass the site on to anyone else (and it's even possible, of course) I'd be prepared to step in.
