In the movie, John Smith has a mass of golden hair like one you would see in a L'Oreal commercial and crystal blue eyes and a rugged, manly physique. In real life? He was short, portly, with dark brown hairline receding. Also, Pocahontas was twelve. Don't know if people realize that.
LOL, bb, it's Disney. *hugs* I don't think they even CONSIDERED making John Smith look the way he was supposed to. And I actually think a lot of people know that Pocahontas was 12 and that most of that film is completely made up. I, personally, just view it as complete fiction. AND, LOL, I KNOW IT'S DISNEY! I just like poitning out all of the historical inaccuracies of any film that happens to be based on real events (because I'm a bit of a bitchy historian, in case you didn't know. XD). Disney is Disney; all I watch for is the pretty music and the cute little storylines.
