still allergic... ew

So my random allergic reaction to my parent's dog is not stopping. I've completely stopped touching the dog, sitting in any room she sits in, touching anything she touches and yet still I get worse. I feel like Quasimodo. So I figured that perhaps I should go to the doctor tomorrow... only to find my fraking health card has expired. So I'll be ( Read more... )

Boo allergies, and boo brother's girlfriend. Is she living at your parents' house? Or is she just complaining about sharing the bathroom when she comes over? Weird.

They will probably give you a shot of Benadryl, and maybe a prescription steroid cream. Julie had a severe reaction to some sunscreen a couple summers ago that sent her to the ER, and that's what they gave her. It worked. Once you get the immediate problem sorted out you should try Claritin for every day, to keep the allergies under control. Julie uses the store-brand version of Claritin.

Brother's girlfriend is over at the house ALL OF THE TIME. She doesn't live there but she spends a lot of time there. I don't know where her parents think she is as she isn't allowed to date white boys and so they don't know about my brother. They're just like kids playing house though, they act like they're in my brother's apartment or something but it's my parent's house. I saw her the other day walking around in a tshirt and underwear between the bedroom and bathroom and could not believe it! Sleep like that fine but in your boyfriend's parent's house then it's just good form to wear pants or shorts when walking in the hallway.

That sounds about right to me. I did some research online and that's what most people say they got. As long as I get something strong I'll be happy :)

Not a fun time! Hopefully you can find some meds that will help!

no joy yet, I got some stuff to use while waiting for more diagnosis. But the wait at the hospital was super fast so it's not like I lost a whole day to be told "nothing we can do"

That's a good thing, at least... ERs are generally the last place you wanna be when you don't feel well.

I timed it well and went in just after 9, after the night emergencies are done but before the holiday mishaps have really started. There were just a handful of people there, I was done in about 2 hours which was great timing.
