Nothing quite like asshole neighbours to get the day started on the wrong foot

*sigh* You know what sound I don't want to wake up to on Polaris morning? Animal cruelty. A family down the street from me recently got a puppy. She's a high energy little terrier and is so adorable. She reminds me of my first dog so I understand that they're going to go through some stress with her in the early years. But some things are not

Oh God. Who does that? Seriously! That poor puppy. And who hides? Jeez. Obviously they knew it was wrong but still. Grr!

Yeah if you hide you know you're doing something that's not okay. I could hear one of the owners on the phone a bit later and from her half of the conversation it sounds like someone called her tell her off for leaving the dog out. It's a pretty yuppie neighborhood which I don't like because people like to get into everyone's business but I think in this case it'll be a good thing for the dog.

Some people can stay. Many should have to pass a course to decide if they can live amongst the general population.

thats b.s. in Florida we have animal cops, they will talk to ppl, and if ppl ignore them, the ppl get ticketed. animal cruelty is fucking sad, and ignoring pack nature shows an inability to survive when the need arises. eff those neighbors

I think the humane society here wanted to do something but they were legally bound because I can't prove that cruelty was taking place. I think it's mean to leave the dog out and so did they but technically it's not illegal. The way to get around that is to make a noise complaint and they did give me that info so they were as helpful as they were allowed to be.

It's not enough because I think that people who are mean to animals are the lowest of the low but sadly I do not run the world.... yet ;)
