You know, I've never read Blankets. I hear its fantastic.

One of my friends owns it and it has made the rounds through most people he knows lol. So far everyone who I've talked to who has read it just adores it. I want to buy my own copy :) So I second what you've been hearing - it is fantastic :)

I'm not into graphic novels, but I must say I find the first icon especially moving. Not being familiar with the "story" at all my feelings may be way off the mark but I get a very strong sense of "danger" and at the same time, simple body comfort.

Love the crinkled affect on the background of the third one.

I don't read a lot of graphic novels, this one is worth it. If you see it ever just pick it up and read the first few pages. It's very neat :)

I can't take credit for the effect on the third one, it's actually the cover of the book just I've moved the characters up higher in the background trees so it's the thinner branches behind them :)

I think I might join whedonland. The MOD/creator is my friend and well, it sounds kind of awesome.

So far it is all kinds of awesome :) I'm having great fun with the challenges. If you make it in before Saturday evening there is a fic challenge going on, voting is up and there are lots of great things to read :)

Plus the new graphic challenge is going to be fun I think :)
