We are back from DC at the title states. It was a very busy weekend with lots of gigs, getting to see lots of friends, and one 12-hour dance in the middle...I am very tired ( Read more... )

Sorry I never got back to you - I was only in DC through Saturday, so it wouldn't have worked out. But I'll get to see you guys at NYE!

I had thought we'd posted about it at some point prior. Perhaps when the gigs were booked, but I'm not seeing anything now. Doh!

in our defense, we were in dc for a very limited %age of our time out east. most of it was in pennsylvania. We had turkey, etc., on Thursday, in the greater DC area, but from Friday morning the schedule was: sleep in, then rehearse, then leave for Bethlehem, PA, then play a gig, then grab a beer, then go to bed, then get up and drive to Philly, play a gig, dance till midnight (or tweak your wrist and mope for 6 hours) then go find our host's house, and go to bed, then sleep in again and leave for DC, grab a backpack at the LL Bean store in Columbia on the way, and then grab food at the band's house in DC, then go play a gig at Glen Echo, then go back and pack up and go to bed and get up at 5am to catch an 8am flight out of national...

though i did comment to folks that i was sad that we didn't get to visit with [insert some folks' names here, yours specifically included].

hopefully we'll get more gigs and i'll be in dc again sometime. we've already been contacted by our friends down in chapel hill, nc, where we love to play, so

Gads, that does sound very busy. Sorry, I didn't mean to overreact, and I probably wouldn't have had time to visit anyway. My parents were in town for the weekend, which was stressful enough! :) (Not to imply that visiting with you would be stressful...)

Do let me know when you're back down this way, and you're welcome to crash with us if you need a place.
