OK, I just can't believe the poor choice of editing cuts on today's live8 broadcast on MTV. I know that MTV is hardly the paragon of broadcasting but they usually have their heads about them with matters pertaining to style and continuity ( Read more... )

I remember when MTV was nothing but videos, one right after the other. Strangely compelling. You'd sit down to watch one or two and the next thing you know it, 6 hours had passed.

I find nothing very redeming about MTV anymore. I will watch VH1 occationally, because they do that "Top 40 worst whatever the hell we feel people want to hear" shows and I love to get pissed off at them. "Goddamn it, if Alice Cooper wants to play fucking golf, leave him ALONE!"

Helps me deal with my anger in real life situations. *g*
