Greetings!
(You know you've been on the internet too much lately when you start singing the song Impossible from Roger and Hammerstein's Cinderella only to realize that you're actually singing the word impossible as 'impossibru!' from the internet meme.)

A power I've long wanted is one that... I don't even know what to call it. But basically, I would love to be able to get a feel for what a book is like just by touching it. Not know the whole plot, or be able to absorb all the knowledge in it instantly, really - that'd be useful, but kind of take away most of the fun of reading. But just... have an understanding of the sort of book it is, whether it's generally interesting/useful/high quality/something I'd like. No more standing around indecisively in bookstores and secondhand shops, trying in vain based on often misleading summaries and covers to narrow down my choices to fit my budget and shelf space... *wistful sigh*
But like I said. No idea what that sort of skill would be called. Bibliopathy? Like being a telepath/empath, only with books? I dunno. But I'd like it. XD ( ... )

Shapeshifting = perfect solution. Amazing. I'm having a "Well, duh! Why didn't I think of that?!" sort of moment here. That would be the ultimate, awesome power. And if you were careful, juuust subtle enough to go unnoticed.
For day to day troubles, though, I still want my magic cleaning fingers.
And if I were going to throw any stones for the contemplation of superpowers and their varied pros and cons, I would have to first bludgeon myself with said rock, delete this whole post aaaand much all of my geek-centric LJ. ;D In other words, my friend, keep on dreaming. Who knows when we might need this knowledge!!
