Madeline is scorching something in the oven. I think it's enchiladas. Although, that particular horrible smell is probably not the enchiladas burning (because she just stuck them in) but rather the old pan we use when making candles that has burnt wax on it. *pinches nose* It's rather stinky. Every three nights or so, my neighbors somewhere start burning something and it always wakes me up! It's driving me batty. See, whatever they're burning smells just enough like a burning house to pull me out of a sound sleep and up in to half wakeful alarm.
