Oh, wow, I loved this. The frantic working of Rodney's mind as he struggles to stay sane, John's matter-of-fact voice, and then the two of them together. Just lovely. Another movie I haven't seen, but one I definitely want to check out now.

I have to confess to not having seen the movie -- I tried to lay hands on a copy when I signed up for the challenge, but couldn't ever find it. I'm definitely keeping an eye out for it, though. The summary sounded awesome.

So simply written, but so very good. Especially the comparisons between John and Rodney's way of coping separately, and how much better they are as a team... Also, John's number being pi rocked my socks.

Like everybody else, all I can say is WOW. It's just, I mean, WOW. I love the quiet desperation and the numbers and Rodney's last thought.

I found one typo: During they day, they paced the yard, watching, measuring.
