I had a grand argument with the road today. I kept telling it not to bite me and it kept throwing obstacles in front of my bike to knock me off so it could. So we had a chat. I'm sure I looked rather odd standing there with my bike helmet and pigtails and hollering at the ground between my feet, but such is life. As it is, I only got bit once.

Yeah yeah, so it hurt. The more you ride, the more better it will feel. I PROMISE. (Having a nice seat helps exponentially too, of course.) The important thing to focus on is how fucking intensely radical you are for participating in bike to work day! You are a ROCK STAR (even if you did get bit by a road snake)! Think about it! That could be your biker nick-name: Road Snake. I think it's a keeper.

I was actually surprised by how much I enjoyed the ride. Even the ride home - and it's uphill almost all the way! So I think I'm going to try to start biking to work at least twice a week. I am DEFINITELY going to wear my padded bike shorts tho. My butt is WAY too bony for that bike seat!

Road Snake.... I like. What's your biker nickname? HEY! We could start a biker gang on bicycles! With sweet leather vests and maybe even leather padded biker shorts? Whadda ya think? Hot chicks on bikes. Yeah.
