at least you're not living in europe, where they make kids choose their areas of concentration while they're still in high school. 15 years old, and they have to choose if they want to do math & science or some kind of liberal art. i mean, what the fuck? all i know right now is that i dont like air pollution, and i'm just working from that. i'm one of the lucky ones; i have a battle to fight. not everyone does, and it's damn hard if you dont. but there was a jewish psychologist who was in auschwitz - he was half finished with a book and just kept thinking to himself, "I have to finish it!" and that's how he survived. he saw people who felt they had nothing to live for just laying down and giving up... he said that in life, as long as you have a why, the how will take care of itself.
the european school system does seem more intimidating, it seems like there should be a broader opportunity for high school students, but even here it seems those are the only options, a liberal art, or a science, it's just prolonged by years of college, and more searching and finding. is there was an occupation of worldimprover?
