So, THE REAL LIVE JOURNAL IDOL (LJI) writing competition is starting up *YET* *AGAIN*I'm sure that most of my LJ Friends are already familiar with the competition through my previous participation, but for those of you who aren't: It's a free "contest" that encourages creative writing of all sorts... and it's an excellant way for aspiring authors

Yes you did! Twice I tried to find out the health issue and though confused, not surprised because the internet and I have had issues today. But as I read all I could think was what a bummer, and especially on your birthday.

So I knew it was coming up because...I get these notifications...and I saw this thing on fb about a teashirt you can buy covered in the words of your favorite author. They even have this one:

Don't worry -- I was joking about "rupturing my spleen"... though it was a reference to a comment I made about a week ago in response to someone saying "FRIST!" in response to a recent post by Gary. Here's a link to what "happened" when I attempted to "vent my spleen" at the perpetrator... and found out the hard way that said vent was completely clogged from disuse:

Well hey team mate. Seems like we have more in common than just competing together last time around. If nothing else, we can complain to one another about reno woes (or should-be-reno woes. We need to replace about THREE sets of door knobs in this house. I don't even know how this happens.) Sending you luck in both the housing situation as well as with your writing. Thanks! I went out to dinner at a nice, inexpensive Afghan restaurant in town -- it's become something of a birthday tradition for me, as I've gone there to celebrate my birthday 4 years in a row.
