I could be completely wrong, but perhaps you will find the companionship you desire when you are on that journey. The act of faith in beginning the journey to your destination may be necessary for you in spite of not having everything lined up first.

I hate to think of someone with all your attributes not having someone who appreciates them.

I had no luck finding such companionship when I was capable of movement. Now that circumstances are conspiring to reduce my mobility to nil, I would say that the odds of my finding a companion are rapidly going from "slim" to "none"...

Have you tried something like e-Harmony? I did back when I was still thinking in those terms. If nothing else, the feed back was interesting. They have free weekends when there's a holiday.

Actually, I did apply to e-harmony a while ago... and they refused to give me access to their service. Seriously: I spent quite some time filling out their questionaire and when I was done all I got was a rude automated message saying something along the lines of "our personality matching algorithm can't handle a profile like yours" and then it locked me out.
