I do like surprising my readers -- if they know what's coming, why would they want to read the story?

Ha! I would have never predicted this :D Great take on the prompt. Loved the twisted end which makes the reader say "Ah!Well..Nevermind" ;) Good work!

There are multiple "nevermind" moments in this piece; that's why it works (and fits the prompt so well).

You know, when I wrote this piece I hadn't consciously realized that the last line fit the "Nevermind" prompt to a T. I seem to have a habit of building better than I know... and thanks so very much for the feedback.
