This was fun to read. I was always fascinated with Arctic and Antarctic exploration as a child. Reading this reminded me why.

This is terrific historical fiction, and it really brings Amundsen to life. He had ambition on an enormous level, and the will to succeed.

I had never heard anything about an airship going to one of the poles. It almost seems bizarre, and yet perhaps makes more sense than the alternatives!

I am somewhat familiar with the Scot-Amundsen race for the pole. Masterpiece Theatre had a series about it years ago. Also Shackleton's bid for the pole was referenced in the series. You have added to my knowledge. Thank you. I'm glad Amundsen finally made it to the north pole, and that, like his trip south, it was properly documented.

As always your gift for writing about historical events shines bright. Well done!
