An orchestra with a difference.

Orchestras can be made up of many parts and some fairly unconventional instruments. I went to see The Lost and Found Orchestra last Sunday at The South Bank and thought Pirate might appreciate ANOTHER good use of traffic cones. *LOL* Yes, I'll bet Robyn HAS thought of this too! *LOL* Haven't we all? So everyone..... pots and pans at the ready ( Read more... )

Those. Were. AWESOME!!!

When I was in NYC in '98, I saw Bring in Da Noise, Bring in Da Funk--fabulous show, with brooms, dust bin lids, dancing... Great fun. In Fresno I saw another similiar show, the name of which escapes me at the moment.

The second video reminded me a lot of the percussion solo pieces in marching band and drum corps. I get little shivers remembering how much I loved that part of the shows.

Glad you liked the vids.......the show was fun...and they were cool. I particularly liked those pipe/hose things that kids play with....can't remember the name of them. The drumming was fab...as was the wine glasses!

Aaah, I saw this (or something similar) in London. It was a show called Stomp. Brilliant really and the audience had to participate which was not easy but cool :)
I love those vids!

*LOL* Oh, they ARE Stomp.......or some members of them (not sure if they've broken up)...... plus a choir. They were pretty special.....and much of the music was subtle and haunting or powerful and rhythmic.

*LOL* Not in your jimjams? Good. And I had thought my favourite London genius and friend has turned a slob... :-) *HUGS*

*cloncdabbledumploinc* (That's me with stuff I've fetched to play on...)

What an amazing performance! Your friend must have a lot of fun being part of it.

What Puddy and I found along the way... Yes, I've started taking photos of cones... especially when they are alone in the the woods and look forlorn... *ROFL*

*LOL* huggles* Hey...my jimjams are my 'thinking' outfit. (and my sometimes writing outfit.) I do my very best thinking in them. As well as slobbing... I call it...relaxation though. :-)))

She had a great time....they are off to Amsterdam next, though she has things to do here, so will only join them for a weekend.

Lamas crossing? *LOL*

:-)

A weekend is better than nothing. (She won't see much beautiful Amsterdam, though, I guess, due to rehearsals.) Any chance they're comming to Germany? (Oh welll, if they do, probably the north... and that's as far away as Amsterdam...)

And they did... as we were watching... a had the camera at hand, so there's my little lama film...
