Yep.... I'm a sci-fi geek, for I have tickets for a 'Blade Runner' day at the British Film Institute on Saturday. I LOOOOVED this film noir detective sci-fi, which was the forerunner of many many sci-fi films. I was a mere slip of a girl when I saw it 25....yes 25 years ago. And I cried into my popcorn at this particular scene. I think it must be ( Read more... )

He IS great isn't he. He was fairly candid and quite funny. Wearing a formal velvet jacket with skulls and crossbones embroidered in black and a baseball shoes he was quite sardonic and didn't hold back on talking about his experiences of his co actors. *LOL* He was a pleasure and I could have listened to him all night....specially as I had a front row seat and could see the twinkle in his eye. :-))))

So you're sitting through hours and hours of Blade Runner 1-4 as I write this?

To my shame I must admit I've neither seen the first one nore any of the three sequels... OK, wandering over to Amazon... DVD buying time. :-)

Have a nice weekend! *HUGS*

*LOL* No...there was a documentary on the writing and making of the film, then three people on a panel including the producer. An hours break in which we went for a lovely lunch, then The 'Final Cut' after which Rutger Hauer was answering audience questions. I didn't wait for director Ridley Scott as my friend was confused at the time of booking the tickets and booked the wrong ones. *ROFL* Was in the front row for Rutger Hauer, so didn't care anyway ( ... )

What kind of questions where the people asking? (Did you ask one?)

*ROFL* Poor David... is still shocked by the spooky experience and is now considering to wear a necklace with his name... or any name he likes... :-)

Very technical ones, and questions about the writer and the script and most importantly...whether Deckhard (Harrison Ford) was a replicant or not. I didn't know this was a controversial issue for the film... with debate about it going on for years. *LOL* I saw the film because my friends cousin who was the usherette at the cinema let me in (we were both too young and sneaked in) and I thought it was very clear then whether he was or wasn't. *LOL*

You know I regularly have those 'spooky' kind of experiences :-))) so I didn't give it much significance.... but poor David was utterly shocked and paranoid that I knew his name and appeared to know him. *LOL* He could have just 'gone with the flow' though. He'd have had a better time. (and no, I didn't fancy him at all....just being friendly)
