Ive been on my fair share of Hen nights...and apart from enjoyment, I've never really understood them. I don't 'get' hen or stag nights. Ok...it's a celebration of a rite of passage...I 'get' that. I never really had a hen night, a bachleorette party. I went out for a drink or two my my cousin and his wife and other people, and I think M. did the same with friends.

Since we dated for nearly seven years before marrying, I was done with being single. I didn't see it as "farewell to freedom", since we'd been exclusive for so long.

I think the whole concept is silly, and like you, I just appreciate the company.

Yes.......I don't think it's silly though..............just stupid. I also don't 'get' the pub culture in Britain.....and find it incredibly boring. Going out for a drink (or cocktails:-)) with friends is relaxing and enjoyable.....standing on the street corner getting pissed and trying to pick up guys/girls is..................not my idea of fun. *LOL*
