Letter Delivered Via A Servantnot_a_maidAugust 11 2011, 22:00:26 UTC
My Lady, I wish to thank you for your gracious gift. They were not expected but not unappreciated. Both the fabric gifts and the food have been well used and what we have left over we have managed to give to a family on the brink of losing their home, so I thank you on their behalf also.
Take care. And you know where we are if you are ever in need of help.

Isabella pressed a coin into the woman's hand and then took the small slip of parchment, hidden in her hand, up to her room to read. It was a small thing, but enough to reassure her. She lingered over the last line a moment, wondering what Marian meant by that. Just a gesture of friendship, surely. Isabella dropped the parchment into the fire, standing over it until it blackened and crumbled to ash.
