posting a letter
this is the letter my stepmom wrote back to me. i really wish i had a scanner because i think she has a unique style to her writing. well, everyone does hers i can reconize anywhere. i guess it is just easy for me to watch people and what they do. mom says i catch the little things in people..

We got your note and i read it to Thimble -she promises to keep in touch, in fact one of her Summer assignments is to write lots of letters! It's hard to believe she graduates Kindergarten in just a few days.
Regarding the part of your note addressed to me -I'm sorry you have a "Low Opinion" of me But Everyone is entitled to their opinion- I would just like to say I tried really hard to be a good stepmom -it's not an easy job AND it was very tough over the last couple of years -withought support from your dad and with two small kids of my own- so I'm sorry i let you down- [okay listen to this she actually put this in here!] For the most part i DID try realy hard but i had two of my own smeggles[kids] too and needed support.
Yes we are laeving -we leave the second week of June- your Dad is staying in the house for a while -I'm not sure how long. You asked why we are leaving- i's probably for reasons your Mom exspained to you why she and Dad divorced. We can't take much more of the yelling and being blamed for everything-Your dad has been drinking very heavily, and that doesn't help anything- He also has a new girlfriend and in his words "Has finally Found Someone Who makes him happy!" - So we pray that happens for him [BS] Can't give you our new address yet -we need to keep it secret But..

...We are still close by and I'll make sure you can reach Yhimble and willow if you want to. They love their big sisters and Thimble thinks about you all the time -She is very proud of you
I'm sorry things have wored out the way they have...But as a mother My most important job is to make sure I nurture and protect my babies -just like your Mom- When you're a Mom you'll Completely understand.
I hope you and Cait are doing well- you are probably looking forward to summer break - have a GREAT one
I do care a lot about you and your sister and often pray things are going well for you-
It has not been easy for the last couple of years (with dad's bad health, grumpiness, money problems ETC..) Someday I hope You'll understand

Clare/Thimble
oh by the way clare is the name of my stepmom. she sent this on the 30th of may
so while she was being the best stepmom she could be we were watching her kids doing chores being hit by dad being lashed with her toungue after we put her kids to bed she always decided it would be a perfect time to yell at us or tell dad something to make him mad or go out and buy him more alchohol. and while we were having money problems Thimble had karate, ballerina, pre school, art classes and soooooo, much more and Clare got mad at us if we asked to go to the library which happens to be a wonderful place where i could escape for FREE and read a happy book with happy families. im soo glad that we didn't live there the entire time. sure we had some good times but they were always awkward. mom's might be boring sometimes on the weekend but at least it was predictable and mostly always happy. i hate it when they alwyas try to turn everything back on me or cait or mom. when we told mom mom would tell dad who would tell clare who would yell at us for lying!!!!
i give up.
oh and hey today is my second day on prozac!! ^_~
