My Dad Just Called

about 3:31pm my dad called me. we had an awful chatt. i can't believe i picked up this stupid phone. i hate calling people anyway i think i'll stay away from them forever. they are a pain in my butt. anyway i asked him why he couldn't call say...BEFORE the anniversary of our trip and you know what he said? "I've been busy" i give up. as i suspected

Drunks can be such badly behaved people. They behave in a way that they never would if they were sober. Unfortunately, your father has been a drunk most of your life.

well, i guess it doesn't help with all the pills he was taking too.
and now i have a pretty good reason to stay away from alchohol..

We as a family don't drink as a rule. Great great grandfathers of mine have all drunk so much that it has ruined their family financially and I'm sure in other ways too.

Not drinking leaves money for other things too... like chocolate *g*

I wish I had something to say to make you feel better, but I don't think anything will do. Try to do what you think is best for yourself. That's all the advice I can come up with.

i want to forget him totally but then he calls or clare sends a letter.

I know it can be frustrating. But you can have some control over it. If your dad calls and he is spouting a load of crap just tell him to call back when he's in the mood to be a proper dad. I know it's not that easy especially since you're still very young, but it's an option.

i know. i kinda like the phone thing because i could hang up or something but i dunno i think i am too polite to people i don't really like. i've had lots of practice i guess and even tho i want to shout mean things or yell i just can't!! i really want to sometimes but whenever i try to my mouth just stops on me and i end up spewing nonsence. ^_^ sometimes i wish i could speak english!!! *g*

Hey. I dunno what to say. But you'll be ok. You have great friends that will always be there for you, and a cool mum, and next time just don't pick up the phone. I know it might seem hard but it'll turn out better.
