Just an hour ago I found out that my sister has ovarian cancer. Thankfully, it was detected early. She had an operation to have her ovaries removed. She’s currently recovering and will be undergoing chemotherapy soon.
My sister’s neighbour and best friend rang me and the rest of the family to tell us about it.
Her friend told me that my sister said to say, “I’m still going on the trip. Nothing’s going to stop me.” A few months ago, my sister invited me to a special one day flight tours of Antarctica offered by Qantas. We both saved up our money and had booked the flight for New Year’s Eve. My sister’s in hospital about to going to have chemotherapy and this is what she’s worrying about. But it’s so typical because she’s always been tough as nails. I want to tell her not to worry about it when I actually get the chance to talk to her. Goddamn
I found about this so suddenly, and unbelievably relieved they found out about this early. But I’m still feeling overwhelmed. I just found about this so suddenly, and unbelievably relieved they found it early.
