Ok so don't be freaked out, but I spazzed when I saw your Bio.

1) My mother's Singaporean - It's my second home and I love the fact that you live there! I've been going every 18 months since I was born and I still have family there.
2) You love James Morrison (and Paolo Nutini). That says all.
3) We have loads of (important) mutual interests

So I'm just friending you. If you don't want to friend me that's fine, though.

Hey Emma! As a reciprocation, I spazzed out too after reading your profile! You're from Switzerland! I'm possibly going there next year for an exchange programme :) I really, really need to know this though - is Geneva really sterile & dull??

Whoa your mom's Singaporean?? That's really cool :) It's certainly home but when you've spent nearly your entire life here, you can't wait to escape. I'm a prime example haha. But hey, always great to find someone who has relations in Singapore!

If someone online tells me “Your stupid”, all I can do is sit in front of my computer in a highly nonplussed way and ask “My stupid what?”.

That cracked me up, and sent you right away to my friend's list!

No way! That's so random and coincidental and awesome! But unfortunately I can't tell you anything about Geneva because I've never been there. I live in Zurich which is at the other end of Switzerland and it's definitely not sterile and dull here, so you should totally come here, lol. It's by far the biggest and most exciting city in Switzerland.

Yeah, she was born and grew up there but had to give up her passport when she married my Dad (who's Swiss) because Singapore doesn't allow double citizenship. And she says so too - she likes coming back for a holiday to see family and friends but she could never live there again and she always gets the shivers when she thinks about what would've happened if she had stayed there and not come to Europe, lol.

Yays! Well, welcome to my LJ and beware my ramblings, hehe. x

Haha I wish I could go to Zurich instead, but I'm taking up French so the only place in Switzerland I'm allowed to go to is Geneva. I hope it's not too bad! But I've got a couple of friends under the German programme headed for Zurich so they'd be happy to hear that!

Oh, talking about dual citizenship, there's been quite a debate about it here in Singapore - I personally think it makes more sense to have it given the mobility of so many people currently. What your mom said about getting shivers if she had stayed on is funny, I know what she means...although I haven't quite experienced the "come to Europe" part haha. Well, at least she sounds so much happier where you all are :) When are you coming back here again??
