i like watching ink swirl in water.

i like when people leave colored things outside.

i like looking out car windows and seeing ridiculous things like this go by.

i found an entire roll of bubble wrap in my room. sculptures resulted. please note the handlebar mustache. thanks.

and this is what happens when i’m left alone in other people’s rooms.

some photos from hiking with michelle and yoni during senior week:

rocks and rivers and trees oh my

this picture smells so good.

scary tree monster.

yoni bites scary tree monster.

..i don’t know really.

climbing things makes me feel tall.

hands

so.. i’m mimicking a dried branch. i’m good at stuff like that.

closer view. see it now? that branch and i are practically twins.

michelle and me at one of the two mount dickey summits.

falling to my death..

this one's my favorite. reaching the top of the mountain i was greeted by a smiling rock.

more hiking/ rock climbing/ camping trips need to be planned for this summer.

so everybody’s all graduated and gone! went to yoni’s philosophy mini-commencement, my brother’s bu grad school commencement, and his girlfriend ryan’s bu undergrad commencement all in the same day. afterwards things continued to be interesting as my brother and i magically managed to be in two places at the same time because our family’s silly. actually it was more the same place at the same time.. we had dinner twice at the same restaurant, first eating downstairs with my dad’s side of the family, then running upstairs and joining my mom’s side of the family and ryan’s family, with a little bit of overlap. it was very sitcom. like the guy that has meetings with two different people at the same place and has to run back and forth the whole time and forgets he’s still dressed as a woman.. ok i think that’s mrs. doubtfire, but same idea.

i think this is the first time i've actually spent a day in lynnfield in a while. last week was bu for a couple days, awesome awesome decemberists concert, boston children's museum, yoni went back to new york, newton for a couple days, biking through thunderstorms in cape cod yesterday, and this morning got back. and i need to find a job. i couldn't take the brandeis lab job afterall, but hopefully i'll be able to do research there during the schoolyear. so i've applied to different labs and hospitals for now, waiting to hear back, looking for more. also something involving mural painting would be cool.

i'm illustrating a kids' book right now=) my piano teacher wrote a book on a new music theory teaching technique she came up with, and she wanted me to illustrate it for her. it’s so awesome to be working with her on something like this. i’m excited about her idea too.. it's fantastic, really creative and has been working great with her students.

i've also seen far too much star wars for my own good in the past few weeks. you know things have gone too far when you find yourself explaining the seven forms of lightsaber combat to people.
