supposedly spanish is one of the easiest languages for an english-speaking person to learn. sure, the vocab and grammar so far have been nice, but i will sound ridiculous speaking spanish always. i still can’t for the life of me pronounce something like “en” as just “en,” instead of “euaogh.” french has permanently destroyed my ability to follow

aww...you might not see her again, but you'll always be able to remember that you made a difference in a child's life! that's the most important thing to be able to take away. i think we tend to look at interpersonal interactions a little selfishly--we teach people something or we do something for them, and it makes *us* happy. but i think we should be happy with just the fact that we contributed something to their lives! i really enjoy just that thought alone. i really think that if my student Nicky stopped taking violin with me, i wouldn't be upset, because i am just so thrilled that i could show him a new thing that he can love and appreciate for the rest of his life. but it is sad when you meet someone that makes you happy and the disappear out of your life as quickly as they came into it...of course, this is deja vu, isn't it?, because that's what i was saying about yury at the end of this past summer...and now we're hanging out again this weekend ;) so you never know.

yeah, it's just something i have to get used to.
have fun with yuré =P and you better get your ass over here soon and come visit! (although i shouldn't talk, i haven't been around for a single weekend since i got here.) but that's beside the point.

i am no class monday or tuesday. saturday i am teach and then drink all night. sunday i am yury, i think. class you have monday?? perhaps i could stop by. i would say friday but friday i will shall be sleep.
