Why we need the public option for health care
I don't get political on here too often because this journal is mostly about my writing. However, I'm linking to a post that says it much better than I can: the public option for health care is essential.

And yes, I do have health insurance, through my husband's employer, since I work multiple part-time jobs and freelance. Though I'm making a decent amount of money and love what I do, I'd hate to think that one day if he retires, I'd have to get a full-time job at probably less pay just for the health insurance.
