So here are pictures from Saturday evening when Goat and I saw Ira Glass at Jesse Hall. We were in the front row (yay, NPR/KBIA donation) and that means we were close enough to see him spit. (And we did, heehee!)
(No, we don’t know this gal, but I’m putting $5 on “Goat thinks she’s pretty cute.” - but also a good snapshot at any rate.)
(and we don’t know this guy, but another good pic)
Beer!
This is Ira signing my “Hope and Fears” cd liner notes. I might eventually have some of my own pictures, so for now all the credit for these goes to Goat. Thanks, Goat!
It was a nice evening even though two things went wrong: Ira’s plane was stuck/cancelled/delayed in New York so he missed the reception before the show (oops) and so we decided to bust a move over to Quinton’s where the second thing went wrong, which was that Quinton’s was out of potato-bacon soup. I was terrified this was a bad omen of the rest of the evening but the show was great, some of the questions were good and then we had a meet/greet after the show (obviously) so that was cool.
