The Secrets of Hemlock Ravine

About a month ago or more, we had a day of training where we went on a hike and learned about geology. We went to this place called Hemlock Ravine, and we all had to pick a rock to be our friend, and then write about it. My rock and I aren't very good friends yet. He's lying on my stomach adjusting to the warmer temperature in our apartment after being forcefully taken from all his friends in the gravel just moments ago. He's gray, so maybe I'll name him Gary. He doesn't like when I cough because then it shakes him up, and he's used to lying still. I better go have conflict resolution with my rock now.

I just released Gary back into the outdoors. We just weren't clicking that well. I didn't have enough time to give to the friendship, and he wasn't adding much to it himself. I think he's happier with all his friends outside. I told him to have a good life.
