I just finished reading the Laura Ingalls Wilder books... again.  I think I was born in the wrong era.  I wish I could've seen the American prairie before it was settled.  I guess this feeling mostly comes from recently reading the Little House books, a dual biography of Custer and Crazy Horse, and a book about Lewis and Clark.  They got to see
