It definitely is! I moved to Eugene in August 9 years ago, and it was amazing. Once the rain starts, it's less amazing, but this year we've really been lucky and had a ton of absolutely stellar weather. One year it rained up til late June. Our rain difficulties are akin to your snow difficulties, just with less shoveling and more moss.
