So I've been playing around with image editing in my free time lately and wanted to make some stuff related to comics!Spuffy. Here you go:
This first image is the worst editing-wise, but holds the most value in terms of its theme.
Here, I really wanted to show how their roles are reversed in the comics. None of these images are flipped at all and the parallel is amazing. For the top half, show!Spike is usually being flirty, while Buffy is being the flirty one in the comics. If you look closely at the facial expressions for the bottom half of the image, you'll notice that on the right, comics!Buffy is showing Spike in, or "opening a door for him," where show!Spike is literally and figuratively opening a door for Buffy in "Crush." Their facial expressions are almost identical. Comics!Spike and Show!Buffy's expressions are even more similar. They both are looking questioningly at the other and seem to be slightly annoyed. I almost wonder if Jeanty used the expressions in that scene as a reference because they are so similar!

This next one is a compilation of the "I love you" scene in "Chosen," the dream kiss in the last arc of Season Eight, them patrolling in Season Nine Issue 1, and a quote from "Once More With Feeling."
"I want the fire back" really references how I feel about their relationship in the comics--not necessarily what Buffy seems to feel. :(
Buffy and Spike are both in a dreary place in terms of their relationship and figuring out their place in the world, which is why I used the most simplistic drawings of them and made them grayscale.

In this one I was really just experimenting with editing stuff. I loved all of these images, so I just combined them and added her quote from the day dream in Season Eight.

Here's a general Buffy Season 9 one:
