Dawn comes slowly here, the light seeping through the mists and over the glass of the sea, the cicadas silent, still bundled up in the dew of the morning. Eventually the bright sun will burn off the veil of mist, or it will be blown away by the reliable westeriles, which bring the racing yachts clipping round the headlands each summer.
