I agree that this is the way I'd prefer it to be in the show, even if it is the more miserable of the choices available. And your fic would be the best ending to it because there is so much more beneath the surface than we get to see. You handled a sensitive subject with grace. Good work.

More misery, but definitley better drama, and thus better TV! Most of everything with these characters is below the surface, which is what makes them so interesting to write.

This is a really interesting take on this storyline and you're writing it very well - looking forward to more.

A friend gave me a devil duckie the other year for my birthday, and he seems like something House would have.
