My apologies, I have not had the energy or mood to update in a while. I should fix that.
As for your project, my immediate ideas are tempered by the fact that I don't know which tubes are good for what. I have taken the list off the straight dope thread and will do some research and get back to you with project proposals. I've been wanting to build something with tubes, they're a technology I haven't worked with much.
Re: The Digitization of Matter for purposes of Teleportation. TRON non-withstanding... True, guys, all is conjecture, to be sure. BUT WHAT IF the digitized object were encapsulated in a PARCEL (similar to that used in transporting email)? The Parcel (outer covering) would be expandable to fit the material content, and further reduced to fir the bandwidth of the sending carrier? find: "Digitization of Matter": www.fore www. Foresight.org/Stevejurgetson.html The transmission of this Parcel would be affected by gravity (assuming there is some) and the laser force propelling the transmission would be controlled to permit accurate landing on some suitable target surface. Would this work? 2/6/12 bill10583@gmail.com scientist
