I was having a conversation with someone down the hall about a bunch of things, and I ended up articulating some opinions of mine that I don't usually. One of these opinions I will share with you now

With imprisonment, if there is evidence that comes out to vindicate someone, they can be released. If they're dead, they can't be revived.However, if they're imprisoned, the time they lost as a free person can't be given back to them

I agree that people tend to value animals more than plants and microbes. Also, people tend to value domesticated animals more than feral ones

:) pessimistic? I suppose that can be interchanged with my use of the word bitter. I realize that I'm a little extreme at that point of view, but I was afraid of labelling it as "not intelligent" in light of what your response might be. Let's just say that I know that that view is ruled by more emotion that logic.

Being personally omnivorous, that was part of which I was referring to when saying I was most likely a hypocrite. Let me change that statement to, "I am a hypocrite."

You might be surprised to find that I wasn't thinking about shark finning at all during that post but rather, pollution. I'm just trying to picture living in an environment in which human excrement saturated the air and covered the land...and well...it sucks.

I'm a bit busy to contribute my views fully at present, suffice to say that I am against the death penalty (in true British form, it seems).
