dude, be grateful that you are in turkey. in orthodox countries like oman NOBODY was allowed to eat in public. only SOME of the restaurants were open during the day and you couldn't so much as drink a bottle of water walking down the street for fear of being arrested. our school used to get special permission to have kids eat in public coz most of us were hindus/sikhs/christian.

of course the upside was that pizza hut had this insanely cheap all-you-can-eat buffet which went NUTS at sundown. =D

you should totally go to moscow and walk around the red square singing "go west"...heh heh heh.

I laugh at this comment everytime I read it!!!! I am hoping for the trip... but it was cancelled... so I will have to go on my own, and my visa is MIA...... like the Turks and Russians worked to make it unbelievably late! grrrrrrr :) it's all apart of a new culture.
