Hi world, long time no post.

Afraid that I don't have much to report except that shopping for oriental clothes in Camden is bad for the ego. I am not a medium, or even a large, but an extra large. I know this is because they are in oriental sizes but still not good. Besides the dress I liked looked much better on the dummy than on me. Phah.

We have just had a real fire alarm and had to vacate the office for over 2 hours.

We are now back just in time for lunch and the building smells bad.

Unfortunatley because I didn't have my bag or keys I couldn't go and do anything useful in this time.

The plumbers have finished all the work and we now have working kitchen taps, new taps and a toilet in the coakroom and new suite in the bathroom.

Everything works now but there is an awful lot of making good to be done over the next few months.

I have so far managed to do laundry, make a dental appointment, sort out a plumber to fix our bathroom (hopefully week after next) and rearranged the car hire so we can leave early tomorrow instead of lunch time ( Read more... )

While coming back via London today I was standing infront of the departures board with half of the transient population of London when suddenly the platform for the Cambridge train came up and as a block we all moved off together. It was just like a flock of starlings moving at the same time.

Looks like my brother might actually get married this year. They have a date and everything.

Mostly survived this week too but have not had time to do much except work. I have worked out that over the last two weeks I have worked the equivelent of 5 extra days.

Sigh.

Well so far christmas has been fairly quiet and uneventful. Cab is getting better each day but still isn't well. I am just glad I haven't come down with it. Last year with nasty cold and then Noro was bad enough ( Read more... )
