Why not just call it lust and be honest and done with it.
And if "romantic love" it is something different from fulfilled lust (not being a doer of romantic love -uhm, unless it is just fulfilled lust- I wouldn't know for certain) how could something that clouds your mind be a basis for a relationship. Better to go from the friend aspect, evaluate degree of mutual acceptance and compatitibility and move from there instead of starting with something that sounds like an over-rated designer drug which could leave who knows what unrealistic expectations once tolerance sets in.

With romantic love you want to spend every waking moment with the object of your affection. You feel terribly incomplete without them there at your side. You can be surrounded by people, but if your love isn't with you there is a terrible void and ache in your soul.
With lust you only want to spend fifteen minutes with the person you're attracted too - then they can leave. The terrible ache you feel is not located in your heart, but a bit lower down.
Having sex with someone you share romantic love with is a spiritual thing. Having sex with someone you lust for is more physical.
Just a personal note: From my experience having sex with someone you lust for, but intensely dislike, is absolutely awesome. :D
